My new friend

In the past weeks our class (Ako Ngatahi) were writing a short story about a video titled “The Present”. It was a story about a boy who got a present and it was a puppy. After he discovered that the puppy only had three legs.

Here is the video, I think that you might enjoy the video and maybe my writing.

W.A.L.T: Write a narrative

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
  • The title is suitable for the text.
  • The orientation tells who the story is about, and when and where the story happened.
  • The complication describes a problem and explains what happened next.
  • The resolution explains how the problem was solved.

My new friend

One morning I was playing on my xbox then my mum come home with a present.
I opened it it was a puppy I look at it’s leg. I threw the puppy on the floor because it had one of his leg missing. Because he was distracting me by my game But I kept playing my game.
Then he found a  red ball under the desk. He bump into the desk and then got the ball. He brought it to me then I kicked it into the box. He ran straight to the box . He was stuck under the box. He eventually got out then he saw the ball and he chased after it. He brought it back to me. Then I relax and stopped being useless. So I got up and went outside with him.
I knew what he felt like because he was missing a leg too and he had the same struggles as me. I think we will be best friends because he knows how I feel.

  1. Hi Evelyn,
I really like the way that you described your story about a dog with one leg and you that had one leg. Maybe next time you could write a bet more then a couple of paragraphs. Other then that you were awsome.
