Blog commenting

We are learning how to interact online in a kind, positive and helpful way.
Learning how to leave quality blog comments is an important part of having a blog. It teaches us how to interact with others online and enables us to continue growing our positive digital footprint.

blog commenting

commenting is really fun when you Start a Conversation

Be positive

Being positive is the number 1 tip#

if you what your comments more interesting use more words not more exclamation marks remember be specific

aks a quesiton

it is always good to end your comment with a quesiton for example if the author of the writing about going to the museum you couldask what wa your favorite explained oxana queston at the end of your comment have to keep the conversaiton going and then forget the quesiton mark

make a connection

if the writer wrote astory about his or her trip to tour and you havebeen to told

Dear Mum and dad,
I want you to go to the St Bernadette's for Whānau Chromebook Support Session at St Bernadette's School next week. They will teach you how I can be safer online at home and teach you same awesome thing you can do on the chromebook. Every family that goes gets a Pak ‘n’ Save voucher .

Module 1 on Wednesday 24 May at 3:30pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Part One in this session covers all the physical features of the Chromebook. It also covers important aspects of The Kawa of Care and ways to practically apply the values of this document in the home.
Part Two is a basic introduction in accessing children’s work from relevant sites. In this session, parents will be shown a classroom site, a classroom blog and then a child's individual blog.
From here parents will be shown the difference between all three, how each site or/and blog may be relevant for different times and how to effectively use them as a means to engage with children’s learning, to to stay informed.

Exploring Blogs

We are learning to create a positive digital footprint.

We often share personal information when we are online. The people we share with could be our friends and family or people we don't know. We need to make smart decisions about what personal information we share online.

Cultural Show

This term we have been looking at different cultures. For the last 3 weeks we have been learning a traditional cultural dance . I learnt the Sasa. Our parents came to see us dancing the Samoan Sasa. I was felling proud because I tried my best.
