C,I,P Wednesday

Hi everyone, today for the C,I,P  we went to the orchard garden to pick plums for like a fundraiser for our school. The teacher had one idea to make plum jam  and maybe we will make plum syrup. After morning tea we went to the compost bins we had pecked up rubbish and we all help rucking the lavs.      

Tane Mahuta rubbish day

Hi everyone ,today at school we have been picking up the rubbish at the school to help the environment and for the future when we are going to plant all the native trees and for all the native bride to came back to our school. 7/8 AL and 7/8 MT went first down to the compost aria and started to picked up all the rubbish.  
 

After morning tea we all went down to the end of the school by Carmen road. One girl found 5 dollar and one boy found a phone.   

Filtration

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass.

Examples are:

1.  Kettle 
2.  swimming pool
3.  water pump  
4. plunger 

Materials

1. bottle 

2. filter paper

3. sand 

4. stones / pebbles 

5. dirty water

6. scissors 

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

Cut the bottle in half with the scissors 

Step 2

Put the funnel /top half upside down in the bottom container  

STEP 3

Add layers of filter paper, sand and pebbles into the   funnel/ top part of bottle  

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water and ad it to the funnel /top of bottle make sure that the container / bottom of the bottle is on the bottom of the funnel.  

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into  the funnel .

Art Module

Hi everyone, for the last two weeks we have been  working on a stop motion video. When my group is fines we hop to have a 20 seconds  or more. I have been planing the stop motion video with  Roald dahl  carters .I still need to make my carters out of clay and lego. I have been working with  Hope and Addyson to caret the stop motion. So far we need to fines off the end of the stop  motion video and our store bored. 

Waitangi day

Hi everybody, this week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi.
 Every year on the 6th of February New Zealand celebrate  the signing of the treaty of Waitangi.
  
My first task was to get two interesting words from the story that we read 
so my first word was pounds, pounds is money,in 1932 even 5 pounds at the time was a lot of money at the time.A  pound is just like one dollar  

My second word was iwi.
Iwi is a maori word for tribes. Iwi is a group of people just like the army. 

  

SLJ lesson 5

Hi everybody, 

This week Emma came over to my class to talk about the SLJ lesson 5. We had to make a slide show about a  landmark  in our country's. My country is Australia and I chose  the landmark Sydney Opera House. I hope you enjoy my slide show.

SLJ Lesson 4

Hi everybody, This week we are doing the SLJ lesson 4 .
I have not been here for the last 3 lesson so I have decided to pick Australia for my country. We have had to watch a show of the country that we are doing. The show that I am watching  is called The voice.

On the voice, people get to stand on stage and perform a song that they have practiced a lot to get correct. The judges have to push a button to turn around and see who is singin

We also had to rate the show that we watch out of 1 to 5 stars I rate my show a 4 stars I liked when all of the the judge's turned around for the singer.but I didn't like when but I didn't like when one person only got one judge to turn around for them
