Shark Infested Custard Game

Today for hurumanu 5 witch is health we played a game called shark-infested custard. You play the game by getting it groups of 5 or 6 and you have 3 hula hoops that you will use to get from one side of the room to the other side of the room. In this game you can only move to the other side of the room by placing a hula hoop down on the ground then stepping in it then you would place another one down and move into that hop and you can only move the hula hoop when no one is in it so you have to have about three people in one hula hoop and none of your teammates can be out of the hula hoop otherwise your group has to start at the start again.

The thing that works well in our game.

  • Work together as a team
  • - useful to have a leader
  • - strategy time useful
  • - easier to move with fewer people
  • - try to have fun
  • - communicating with each other
  • - following a pattern of hoop entry
  • - being fair team players
  • - rule changes to make it better next time
  • - supporting each other-helping hand
  • - hoop distances kept close

Samoan Week

Talofa, This week for Samoan language week we have been doing a task board for the language of Samoa. Today I have decided to do a task where I search up some facts and language meanings, and luckily I have learnt a lot by just learning their most common language phrases. I have been searching for some facts like Apia is the capital city of Samoa and guess what it was the only city in the country. This city was located on the island of Upol which is the country's second-biggest island. This city is part of the Tuamasaga, a political district in Samoa.

Samoa has a very long and fascinating history spanning that is more than 3,000 years. Samoan is very interesting like, the mythology and legends say they descended from the gods and heavens to inhabit these islands. That was guided by the stars, the Polynesian ancestors made their way across the Pacific in ocean-faring canoes thousands of years ago. Samoa is made up of two major islands Upolu and Savai'i with the other four smaller islands that surround its landmasses. Samoa is famous for its amazing natural scenery, cool beaches, mountain and hills, and aquatic life.

Here is my Word Art that I have created:
